Juventus make it 5 wins in a row following their impressive victory at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
I bianconeri got off to a hot start, scoring their first goal in the 7th minute of the match. Lazio defender Santiago Gentiletti put the ball in the back of his own net, giving the away side the early advantage. The woes continued for Gentiletti as he was issued a yellow card just 8 minutes later.
Juventus phenom Paulo Dybala took a shot from range in the 16th minute that flew high above the Lazio goal. The first yellow of the match for Juventus came in the 26th minute when Mario Mandzukic was booked. Just minutes later Lazio winger Antonio Candreva picked up an injury but stayed in the game.
Dybala continued to impose his will on the match and in the 32nd minute he scored a glorious goal from the top of the box. Lazio’s defenders could not contain the Juventus front line as both Maurico and Radu were booked before half.
Lazio began the second half with a double substitution, as Felipe Anderson and Keita replaced Candreva and Kishna. Just minutes after the restart there was a controversial incident in which Radu was taken down by Barzagli just outside the box but there was no foul called.
Lazio started to find their rhythm in the second half and took their first shot on goal in the 64th minute. Shortly after that effort manager Pioli decided to bring on another attacker, as Alessandro Matri replaced Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. The home team kept pouring on the pressure as Keita was dangerous and forced multiple saves by Buffon.
In the 80th minute Dybala was replaced by Juan Cuadrado following an outstanding effort. Just two minutes later Claudio Marchiso took a shot from range that was just wide of the Lazio goal.
The last real chance of the game came in the 87th minute when a very tired Klose had his shot deflected just wide of the net. Juventus held possession in the closing minutes and maintained the clean sheet to go along with the 3 points.
