Juventus are thought to be considering a bid for Manchester United striker Robin van Persie in the summer.
The Dutchman could leave Old Trafford by paying the club €7 million in severance, thus allowing him to move on a free transfer elsewhere.
The Daily Mail are reporting that in order to get van Persie’s €14m a season salary off their wage bill, they are willing to give half to ensure he leaves.
The 31-year-old’s contract expires in June 2016 and United boss Louis van Gaal is keen to revolutionise his attack during the summer.
As a result, Juventus are evaluating a deal for the striker as Carlos Tevez is likely to depart the Bianconeri at the end of the season.
Van Persie was courted by Juventus back in 2012 and was also given a tour of the Old Lady’s stadium.
