Manchester City, “Yes, Joe Hart will play in Torino,” says agent

Manchester City keeper Joe Hart is all but set to trade English football for Italian calcio as a move to Torino nears.

In one of the more shocking transfer links we’ve seen this summer, Joe Hart looks set to make the rare swap of Premier League football for Serie A calcio, with Torino as the destination.

Hart’s agent, Jonathan Barnett, admitted to Tuttosport that the England international has given the approval:

“Yes, Joe Hart will play in Torino. It is done. The goalkeeper has said yes to the Granata, and Manchester City have also given the green light. Tomorrow, Hart’s medical will be held in Turin.”

Manager Siniša Mihajlović had asked for a new number one, and it seems as if he will be granted his wish by president Urbano Cairo. On the other end, Manchester City had recently acquired Keylor Navas from Barcelona, making the decision to depart for Joe Hart much easier.

OFFICIAL: Marko Rog joins Napoli on loan.

De Laurentiis has confirmed the signing of 21-year-old Marko Rog on a loan deal with an option to buy. 

Napoli have confirmed the completion of his medical and signing of the midfielder for 1.5 million a season with an obligation to buy at the end of the season for €12.5 million.

De Laurentiis stated “This purchase enriches a midfield that is now among the most complete possible, which gives Sarri the ability to utilize the many talents.”

Marko Rog made 40 appearances for his former club Dinamo Zagreb since joining the club in 2015.

Fiorentina denies “any Chelsea offer” for Marcos Alonso

The Spanish fullback has been linked to Chelsea in recent days.

Fiorentina sporting director Carlos Freitas spoke today at Carlos Salcedo and Sebastian Cristoforo’s official presentation on the remaining days of the transfer market.

Freitas denied any official bid being placed by the Blues from London, although it had been reported they were ready to shell out €28 million for the defender.

“So far no club has come to ask for our best players. He’s for now a Fiorentina player”.

After failing to land Romagnoli, Koulibaly and Maksimovic, Chelsea have been snuffed out of signing a single Serie A player this summer. When Conte was signed, there were insinuations that several could make the move to Stamford Bridge.

Lyon join Sassuolo in race for Juan Iturbe.

French club Olympique Lyon are challenging Sassuolo in chase to sign the Roma winger.

Sky Sports has confirmed that French club Lyon will be battling with Sassuolo for the 23-year-old. The Neroverdi were said to be interested in bringing Iturbe in on loan, but will now have to compete with Lyon for the player.

Iturbe has seen little playing time, only featuring once in the 4 matches Roma have played, replacing Edin Dzeko in the 59th minute of Roma’s 3-0 loss to Porto.

The Argentinian international joined Roma in 2014 for a reported €22 million. Since joining he has made 39 appearances for the club.

BREAKING: Watford FC signs Italy international Stefano Okaka

The ex-Sampdoria striker will ply his trade in London with the Hornets.

Mazzarri’s side receives another Italian reinforcement. The Pozzo family owned side already has a tremendous Serie A/Italian influence and has purchased Stefano Okaka from Anderlecht. The club released an official statement via their website.

“Watford FC are delighted to announce the signing of Italian international striker Stefano Okaka from Anderlecht on a five-year deal.

The 27-year-old joins the Hornets off the back of a 17-goal haul last season that helped Anderlecht to third in the Belgian Pro League and the last 16 of the Europa League.”

Financial details have not yet been made public by the club nor Anderlecht.

Crystal Palace FC push for Genoa’s Rincon

The heavy spending English side looks to continue their summer window with Genoa’s midfielder.

Two days to go in the transfer market and clubs are beginning to cram. Tomas Rincon, who’s been on AC Milan’s radar has been added to Crystal Palace’s wishlist.

The Venezuelan has performed well in recent times for the Genovese and a move to the Premier League is more than a possibility.

According to Sky, the two clubs are negotiating and are discussing a fee in the range of €8 million, but could increase due to a bonus package.

BREAKING: Berardi out of Italy U-21 side due to injury

The Italian striker has been sidelined due to an injury he picked up against Pescara in Serie A.

As Italy’s national sides from the senior to youth teams gathered at Coverciano today, so did Domenico Berardi.

Unfortunately for Luigi Di Biagio, he will not have the in-form winger at his disposal due to injury. The FIGC released a statement clarifying the situation.

“Domenico Berardi came along to the training camp as normal and saw the U-21s’ medical staff to assess an injury he picked up for Sassuolo against Pescara: he will not be able to play in either game and will return home this evening.“
