The Italian striker has been sidelined due to an injury he picked up against Pescara in Serie A.
As Italy’s national sides from the senior to youth teams gathered at Coverciano today, so did Domenico Berardi.
Unfortunately for Luigi Di Biagio, he will not have the in-form winger at his disposal due to injury. The FIGC released a statement clarifying the situation.
“Domenico Berardi came along to the training camp as normal and saw the U-21s’ medical staff to assess an injury he picked up for Sassuolo against Pescara: he will not be able to play in either game and will return home this evening.“
