There have always been rumors surrounding the future of Hamsik, with reports of Paris Saint-Germain and numerous English Premier League clubs being interested in signing the midfielder.
“Napoli are a good team, in good form as well, and I hope they can meet their [UEFA Champions League] goals,” said Venglos in an interview to Radio Crc.
“There have been contacts for Hamsik … big clubs have been after him but he has remained at Napoli. Hamsik only thinks about Napoli.”
Hamsik struggled for form at the start of the season, but has recently recovered well and contributed to the team. The playmaker scored five goals and provided seven assists for Napoli in all competitions.
