Ronny Deila was proud of his side’s performance despite their 1-0 loss over Inter in the Europa League Round of 32 clash on Thursday evening.
Fredy Guarin’s late strike earned the Nerazzurri a 4-3 aggregate win, though the Bhoys did have Virgil van Dijk sent off late in the first half.
“I think it’s a very disappointed gang of players in the dressing room,” Deila told the press. “I feel very sorry for them, but I’m very proud of them.
“We made a good performance for 90 minutes. When it was eleven vs eleven we controlled the game and we got more into it, so it’s tough.
“It just has to give us more motivation now to get back on this stage. I think we showed now we have something to do here.
“I think it was a very good chance to get through today.
“Before the sending off also we saw we have something to do on this level. I’m very proud of the boys and I feel very sorry for them.”
