Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella has expressed his happiness at his side’s performance in the defeat of Sassuolo.
A goal from Mohamed Salah and Khouma Babacar’s brace sealed a 3-1 win for La Viola and the former Roma forward stated that his side played well against a tough opponent.
“I am very pleased with the performance,” he told Mediaset. “Sassuolo are a tough opponent who are playing well.
“I was worried that they’ll cause us problems, because they’re capable of doing that.
“I asked the players to make it hard for me to choose the line-up.
“Babacar has enormous potential, and he played really well, however there is always room for improvement.”
La Viola’s upcoming game will be away to Tottenham Hotspur in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League Round of 32 tie.
