Bologna are flexing there muscles this January in a strategic attempt to return to Serie A at the first time of asking.
The latest additions, the Rossoblu’s fifth and sixth of the window, are Sampdoria pair Daniele Gastaldello and Nenad Krsticic.
La Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that after a long courtship both players will join the Emilia-Romagna based club, although we still await official confirmation from Bologna themselves, which will come tomorrow morning.
31 year old Gastaldello has spent the last eight years with Sampdoria becoming something of a club talisman after joining them from Juventus in 2007. Krsticic meanwhile has only been at the club since 2011 after he joined from Serbian club OFK Beograd.
The signing is something of a coup for Bologna as they look to get one up on there promotion rivals as the season enters the home straight.
