Palermo have acquired a new defender from Paraguay in the form of 22 year-old Danilo Ortiz.
The rosanero purchased Ortiz on a loan with a right to buy basis, and the club announced “He’s the second signing of the winter Mercato, U.S. Citta’ di Palermo announces to have in fact acquired Danilo Ortiz from Cerro Porteno. The Paraguayan defender, born in 1992, transfers to the Rosanero with the formula of a loan with a right to buy and will wear the number 22. The centerback is already undergone the medical visits at the Institute di Medicina dello Sport del Policlinco di Palermo and this afternoon he will be on the pitch for his first training with Iachini’s squad.”
Ortiz played a role in Cerro Porteno’s Copa Sudamericana campaign, racking up four appearances.
