The Giallorossi only managed to earn a 1-1 result in their home clash with Empoli on Saturday, making it their fourth straight draw in the Serie A, which has placed them seven points behind first place Juventus and just four points in front of the Partenopei, who won their away battle with Chievo on Sunday.
Adani spoke to Sky Sport Italia following the draw between Roma and the Azzurri about what the Lupi should focus on if they want to turn things around this season and commented on the threat presented by Napoli’s increase in form in recent months.
“Roma are much more static than they were before, lately they’ve been making things complicated for themselves with a lot of trivial errors,” said the 40-year-old.
“They are falling further behind Juventus, if they don’t find a new source of motivation then they may lose their hold on second place even further as well.
“Roma must now pay attention to Napoli, who have been rising towards them after a string of good results.
“We must now also consider the injury to Juan Iturbe. If Miralem Pjanic, along with many other players who have been lacking lately, can’t find their form then it becomes even harder to improve.”
