Buffon slams ‘bizarre’ Juventus-AC Milan controversy

Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has slammed the controversy that arose following the Bianconeri’s 3-1 win over AC Milan.

The Rossoneri were unhappy at the decision to award Juve’s opening goal scored by Carlos Tevez, with vice-president Adriano Galliani claiming that broadcasters Sky Italia were trying to make viewers think the goal was correct

“It was a bizarre controversy,” he told Sky. “It makes us understand the nature of us Italians, we are polemists by nature.

“In this case, we managed to create an issue out of nothing; the goal was correct.

“Actually the only refereeing error in the game was the corner-kick that resulted in Milan’s only goal, and I see that no one cares about the error, and that’s how it should be.”
