Cesena coach Domenico Di Carlo praised his for a well played game against Serie A leaders Juventus on Sunday evening.
The Seahorses hosted Juventus and held the Italian champions to a 2–2 draw, as Cesena looked the better side in large segments of the game.
“We put in a good performance tonight and, as the result shows, we played a really good game,” said Di Carlo to Sky Sport Italia.
“It was difficult for us to get the better of Juventus, but the team’s courage made the difference.”
Despite being 19th in the Serie A table and a few points from safety, Cesena played with energy and confidence against Juventus, which Di Carlo acknowledged.
“I want to say I am very pleased with the compactness and balance that Cesena demonstrated against the league leaders,” Di Carlo said.
“The draw is deserved, but maybe we could have won,” Di Carlo coach concluded.
