Juventus defender Angelo Ogbonna has stated that the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie against Borussia Dortmund will be far from easy.
Die Schwarzgelben have been hovering near the relegation area this season in the Bundesliga, but the Italian international has insisted that the 2013 runners-up won’t be easy opponents.
“Borussia Dortmund? It won’t be an easy game,” he told Sky Sport. “Even if they are not doing well in the Bundesliga, they are formidable in Europe.”
Ogbonna had a difficult first season at the Bianconeri when he made the move from city-rivals Torino in the summer of 2013, but has featured much more regularly this season.
“In my first season, I was getting used to how things go at the club but now all I want to do is show what I can do and help the team,” he said.
La Vecchia Signora will face Dortmund in the first leg on February 24 at the Juventus Stadium.
