Savoldi: Gabbiadini more suited to Napoli than Juventus

Manolo Gabbiadini Napoli Ex-Napoli player Beppe Savoldi has hailed the Partonopei’s new signing Manolo Gabbiadini, whilst criticizing Juventus for not believing in him.

The 23-year-old Italian international joined Napoli last month from Sampdoria and Juventus – where he was co-owned – and has enjoyed a good start to his career so far, scoring twice in four matches.

“Gabbiadini has excellent technique, is a good kid, and he’s from Bergamo. This is why you couldn’t go wrong!” Savoldi joked to Tuttomercatoweb.

“But seriously, he weighed up the option to go to Napoli, understanding that the results would come.

“He’s never gone off making outlandish statements, he’s always said he’s wanted to work hard and do well. He can play everywhere.”

Savoldi then took aim at Juventus, implying that Gabbiadini’s ‘modest’ character perhaps wouldn’t mesh well in the Bianconeri dressing room.

“Evidently, Juventus did not believe in the player. Manolo is a modest, quiet guy. Perhaps the Juventus players are over the top, and need to make themselves noticed and give the impression they’re from Juventus.

“Not for nothing, every team has their style and culture, and perhaps Manolo did not fit the Bianconeri’s style.

“Every team takes the player that most fits the style of the team.”
