Parma president Giampietro Manenti has confirmed that the club intends to meet outstanding wage payments from February 16 onwards.
The date complies with a deadline which the Crociati’s players set, where the playing staff were prepared to take further action should the owed wages not be paid.
“The Olimpico was an excellent result, which gives us confidence,” the Italian commented via Parma’s official Twitter account.
Rock-bottom Parma secured an unexpected point away at second place Roma on Sunday, holding Rudi Garcia’s outfit to a 0-0 draw.
Assuring both fans and staff alike that the financial situation is under control, Manenti confirmed:
“Tomorrow we begin to pay and fix everything.”
Parma are still 13 points from safety in the Serie A table.
