The 30-year-old Italian was on the score-sheet for the home side, as they moved up to seventh place on the Serie A standings temporarily with the win over the high-flying Partonopei.
“Tonight we had this competitive nastiness we wanted to show against Napoli. We saw a great Palermo,” Rigoni told Sky Sport Italia after the victory.
“It’s been a busy week after that heavy defeat [against Inter], and we showed a lot of heart and sacrifice.
“Dybala and Vazquez are great players, but their is a group behind them that are driving them at a 1000 kilometers an hour.”
