AS Roma CEO and New Yorker Italo Zanzi has made it clear just how happy he is to have the newly acquired Seydou Doumbia in Rome
New York native and AS Roma CEO Italo Zanzi had joined the club a few years ago but already has seen success in little time. After a busy January transfer window for the Giallorossi, Zanzi talked about the importance of the fresh new face, Seydou Doumbia. Here is what Zanzi had to say about the player at a news conference, according to Tuttomercatoweb:
“Doumbia is a very important player. He is chosen to be a great player and knows how to score. He has the confidence of all of Roma. We are happy to have him here at Roma.”
The 27-year old Ivorian made his club debut this past weekend at home against Parma after returning from the Africa Cup of Nations. Doumbia is expected to come in and be the replacement for the departed Mattia Destro.
