Caceres: Juventus beat Napoli fairly, stop creating controversy

Caceres - Chievo v Juventus Juventus defender Martin Caceres has revealed that he’s tired of the media always creating controversy and insists that the Old Lady’s 3-1 win over Napoli was fair.

The 27-year-old has been accused of being offside when he scored his team’s second goal of the match, though he feels that the critics of his goal are only trying to stir up problems for the Bianconeri and is adamant that the reigning Serie A champions deserved their win over the Partenopei.

Caceres spoke to Sky Sport Italia about the controversy surrounding the victory against Napoli and admitted that he doesn’t pay much attention to the Italian media.

“I haven’t read the newspapers, I don’t like paying attention to the press,” said the Uruguayan international.

“I like to talk about football, it’s a fact that Juventus beat Napoli 3-1, and deservedly so. The media is always looking to make controversy.

“Is it like this in Spain? I don’t remember much, I haven’t played there in about three years. But I guess not, if anything it was much less.”
