The Giallorossi got the better of the Viola on the opening day with a 2-0 victory, but Montella believes his side have the right motivation to get a result at home on Sunday.
“There is a lot of desire to do well and be consistent against a great side,” he stated at his pre-match press conference.
“We can do it if we all give our best despite knowing that it will be a difficult task. I will approach the match like a normal match. The motivation is high for a match of this level.
“I try and live these moments with some distance and I will attempt to do so tomorrow,” he stated about squaring off against the club he played for from 1999 to 2009.

“[Alberto] Gilardino? It is a signing that was agreed upon. In the penalty area he is one of the best players around. An abundance is never a problem, it is normal to have a lot of strikers.
