AC Milan’s Marco van Ginkel is feeling good after recovering from his ankle injury and he is aware of the challenge that the Rossoneri face against Lazio on Saturday.
The 22-year-old, currently on loan from Chelsea, had been out with an injury he picked up in a training ground collision with Sulley Muntari in December but he has now returned to training and he is happy to be back with his team mates.
“I feel good, I had a problem with my ankle but now I’m back training with the squad,” he told Milan Channel.
“I trained well, tomorrow we have our last training session before we go to play in Rome.”
The twice capped Netherlands international then moved on to speak of his time with the Rossoneri and what to expect against Lazio.
“I hope to play many matches and become an important player for the team [during the second half of the season].
“We are a good team, there are so many good guys. Even though we have lost a few points over the last few weeks, the atmosphere around the group is good.
“We did not start the year well. We have a tough match against Lazio on Saturday, but we know what we can do and we are ready.
“We will do everything possible to pick up points against Lazio.
“They are a good side, we beat them 3-1 earlier in the season and it will be a good game.
“For now we are only focused on the Serie A match, after that we will think of the Coppa Italia match on Tuesday.”
