Garcia: This Roma team was built to last

Rudi Garcia Roma Roma boss Rudi Garcia has revealed that he has no plans to make any major signings during the January transfer window as he feels that his squad is already strong enough to do well.

The latest name linked with a move to Giallorossi has been Chelsea midfielder Mohamed Salah, though the capital city club tactician insists that he plans on moving forward with his current line up and will only look for new players if one of his men suffers a serious injury.

Garcia spoke to ASRoma.it about his transfer market strategy this winter and expressed his full confidence in his existing line up.

“There are new names thrown out there every day,” said the 50-year-old.

“The only thing we could possibly need is a defender, given that we’re still without Leandro Castan, but he’s been doing well. The team can move forward as it is unless there are any major injuries.

“Aside from that, we’ve specifically built this roster to be able to deal with all three competitions, and I’ve got the utmost confidence in my players.”
