Milan defender, Philippe Mexes spoke to Milan Channel on the recent performances of his Club.
The 32 year old and former Roma player commented on Milan’s sights set for third place. “We started 2015 badly, but we are not far from third place. We need to immediately work to make this happen and collect as many points in the standings as possible.”
“We do not seek excuses, this moment is up to us” emphasized Mexes. He continued, “We gave up after good performances against Napoli, Roma and Real Madrid, but now it is time to regroup.”
Speaking about the team dynamic, Mexes said they are “all in this together” and need to give more of a run to continue fighting for points. “In defense, there is big competition. But between injuries and suspensions, we all must give a hand. I, personally, am very happy to play many games” Mexes commented.
Regarding the new arrivals and departures in the Club, Mexes said, “I have always tried to support Niang, he is a great guy and has to use this opportunity that has been offered to him. Suso is a quiet boy, but he trains well and I think he can be very strong.”
