Roma are reportedly intrigued by out of favor Tottenham forward Emmanuel Adebayor.
Having been frozen out of the Tottenham first team for months, Roma are interested in acquiring Togolese forward Emmanuel Adebayor on a Bosman transfer this summer.
Adebayor has not played for Spurs’ since early November due to a mix of injuries and personal issues, and his contract is set to expire in June of this year.
According to Goal.it, the idea of getting Adebayor on a free transfer is intriguing to the Giallorossi, who continue to pursue the player. Tottenham are looking to find a transfer for the player this window, while the ex-Real Madrid and Arsenal man would like to decide his own destiny.
Long gone are the days where Adebayor could top a league in scoring, but his services in a backup role are what Roma are coveting, and despite a lack of minutes (768 across 10 Premier League appearances), he still has the ability to put the ball in the back of the net, adding two goals this campaign for the English side.
