Since the arrival of Gianfranco Zola at the helm of Cagliari, they have been linked with a numerous attacking players. The latest is Sassuolo’s Leonardo Pavoletti, who may be on his way out of his club in January.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Sassuolo have put forward Leonardo Pavoletti up for sale in the January transfer window. The 26 year old player has a long list of suitors with Cagliari being the latest. At Sassuolo, the player has seen his playing time limited despite the fact that he’s been getting more chances to play as of late. Due to this, many clubs have targeted Pavoletti to bolster their attack. Cagliari are expected to make an offer for the player in the coming hours but it appears Sassuolo have changed their minds and don’t want to sell the player in January. A large part of the transfer would depend on Pavoletti’s will. If he pushes for a move away from the club perhaps Sassuolo will be tempted to move the player on.
Pavoletti has made 8 appearances this season, finding the back of the net just once.
