Bologna aiming high for Juventus forward in January

Giovinco - Juventus Bologna are reportedly preparing to make a bid for Juventus forward Sebastian Giovinco during the January transfer window.

The 27-year-old, whose current contract with the Bianconeri is set to expire in June 2015, has been heavily linked with a move away from the Turin giants this winter with outside clubs including Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea apparently interested in signing him, though it seems the Felsinei are focused on trying to bring the Italian international to Serie B.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Bologna have already attempted to make contact with Juventus in order to submit an offer for the former Parma man, as he is doubtful to sign a renewal with the reigning Serie A champions.

Giovinco, who came up through Juve’s youth system and began his professional career with the club in 2006, has failed to score in his six league appearances this season thus far, with only two of his appearances coming as a starter in Massimiliano Allegri’s squad.
