Bayern Munich winger Xherdan Shaqiri is considered Juventus’ top transfer target for the January window, but Inter Milan and Liverpool are also keen to sign him.
The 23-year-old Albanian-born Swiss international has struggled to find playing time at his current side Bayern Munich, and has been given permission to leave the club. Juventus are still considered favorites to sign him but interest is heating up, with both Inter and Liverpool submitting offers to challenge Juve’s.
According to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus have submitted an offer of three million euros upfront with an additional twelve million payable over three years, in what would technically be a year-long loan deal with the “obligation” to buy at the end of the loan period. According to Di Marzio, this proposal is not particularly exciting to the directors of Bayern Munich, and they may be more disposed to consider Inter’s reported offer of a set 15 or 16 million euros, with Di Marzio reporting that the Nerazzurri could be prepared to raise their offer still higher, indicting their strong interest in the player.
The details of Liverpool’s offer are not yet known.
