Mexes: I want to stay at AC Milan and win a trophy

Mexes - AC Milan AC Milan defender Philippe Mexes has revealed that he hopes to remain at the Diavolo for as long as possible and is focused on winning an important trophy with the club.

The 32-year-old had just signed with the San Siro outfit ahead of their last Supercoppa Italiana win over Inter in 2011, which also happens to be the last time the Milan side have won a title of any sort, but had not yet been included in the squad when they earned the trophy, leaving him hungry for success ever since.

Mexes spoke to the French media after AC Milan’s 4-2 friendly triumph over Real Madrid on Tuesday about his desire to continue his career in Milan and commented on his mission to help his team secure a title in the near future.

“It would be an honour for me to stay at Milan,” said the Frenchman, who has made six Serie A appearances this season thus far.

“I want to stay here for as long as possible so I can win something in the Milan shirt. I’ve been here for about four years and now I want to win something.”
