Sometimes, it’s just not meant to be in the world of football.
Adriano Galliani has seemingly missed out on another target after city rivals Inter have pipped the Rossoneri to Kondogbia. But this comes after the week long extravaganza to convince Carlo Ancelotti to replace outgoing Filippo Inzaghi.
A few weeks later, AC Milan signed Sinisa Mihajlovic, who has a less than perfect record in the past in the eyes of some players. Which could further hinder Galliani and Berlusconi’s efforts to build a top team again with signings.
Today, SKY Sports reported that Geoffrey Kondogbia is on the brink of signing with Inter on a five year deal as well as signing Giannelli Imbula, both who were big targets of AC Milan in recent weeks. But the scares don’t stop there, as now it seems Atletico Madrid is keen on snatching Jackson Martinez away from the Rossoneri.
Atletico Madrid would seemingly have the upper hand in a mercato clash with Milan, being in the Champions League and a €35 million plus, transfer fee would be attainable for the Red and Whites in Madrid.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic at one time gave strong signals of a desire to return to the Rossoneri, but that mirage didn’t come to fruition after a meeting with his agent and the PSG president in Doha, Qatar.
From Germany, reports are circling that Mats Hummels will not move from his Borussia Dortmund side, another top tier player linked with Milan that looks yet again to fall in vain.
For AC Milan fans, this is an incredibly frustrating wave of developments as the fans expected to have two new high profile players, and the evidence of this is all over social media.
This is just ridiculous. We've become a joke. -VS

Adriano #Galliani continues to embarrass #ACMilan on the international stage. Isn't it time for a change yet… @beetaechaubol? #Berlusconi?

Galliani still has plenty of time to rectify the situation, in fact, the transfer window hasn’t even opened yet (July 1st), but after flying out to meet high profile targets and losing out on his ideal head coach. It must be said that this isn’t the greatest of starts for ‘Uncle Fester’, in a time when the club needs possibly it’s best summer window ever.
