Juventus forward Alvaro Morata banged the war drum ahead of the momentous Champions League finale against Barcelona on Saturday.
In a match where he said he would in fact celebrate if he scored against the Blaugrana, Morata spoke to El Partido de las 12 in view of the game.
“The idea of beating Barcelona particularly motivates me. Juve has a super defense to stop the champions, even Messi. We want to make it a grand finale and to win the Champions League, we’re very motivated and we know that winning would send us into the history books of calico. I’d be lying if I didn’t say I have an extra motivation against Barca. I grew up in Real, I have many friends there… They [Barcelona] remain the favorites, but we have options. And how many times I’ve dreamt of scoring the winning goal in the finale…”
