REPORT: Hernanes To Genoa Is A Done Deal

Hernanes was being closely followed by Genoa for the past few days and appears to be their latest signing.

Italian football journalist Damiano Giordano reported that Hernanes to Genoa is a done deal. The former Inter man is set to join I Grifoni on a loan deal for the rest of the season. After being signed by Juventus on deadline day last year, Hernanes never fully kicked on in Turin. Outside of a few impressive performances, most notably against Bayern Munich in the Champions League, Hernanes never fully replicated his Lazio form.

His move to Genoa perhaps paves the way for Witsel’s move to Juve. Before it was reported that the Italian champions wouldn’t sell Hernanes unless Witsel was on the way. With Hernanes’ move all but sealed, it remains to be seen whether or not the Belgian will arrive.

Sassuolo To Keep Gian Marco Ferrari On Loan At Crotone For The Season

Sassuolo continuing to make smart purchases on the transfer market, the latest being the purchase of one of Crotone’s top defensive performers.

Following the loans of Marcello Trotta and Diego Falcinelli to Crotone, Sassuolo have bought themselves one of the standout defenders in Serie B last season. As per Sportitalia, the Neroverdi have signed center-back Gian Marco Ferrari from the Calabrian club for a fee of €5 million and have decided to leave the 24-year old on loan at his former club for the season.

Ferrari had been a part of the exodus of players who left Parma after their relegation to Serie D due to bankruptcy and signed with Crotone last summer via a free transfer. His performances were key in helping Crotone break into the top flight for the first time in club history. Appearing in 41 games last season in Serie B, he collected a goal and two assists.

Chelsea Homecoming For David Luiz Could Signal End of Koulibaly Move?

Antonio Conte looks to have made his second signing of the day as former player David Luiz agrees a move back to Chelsea, so what does this mean for Kalidou Koulibaly?

Chelsea FC confirmed the move in a statement saying “Chelsea Football Club and Paris Saint-Germain have agreed terms for the transfer of David Luiz back to London. The move is now subject to him agreeing personal terms and passing a medical.”

Conte had been chasing Kalidou Koulibaly all summer, with multiple bids for the player rejected by Napoli.
A deal for Torino defender for Nikola Maksimović was also rumoured, with Napoli also keen on the player to replace Koulibaly himself in the team.

The current FIGC President continues to praise Ventura as being the perfect fit for the job and confirms he has the backing of everyone in Italy.

Addressing the media at the Federal Council prior to his departure to Bari for Italy’s friendly against France, FIGC President Carlo Tavecchio spoke about why Azzurri boss Giampiero Ventura is the right man to guide La Nazionale:

Milan Attempt To Hijack Cagliari’s Deal For Mati Fernandez

Milan are in the market for another midfielder and have set their sights on Fiorentina’s Mati Fernandez.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Fiorentina and Cagliari have reached an agreement that would see the player join the newly-promoted side on a free loan deal. Milan, however, would like to sign the player and are attempting to hijack the deal. Galliani has reportedly called the player’s agent to tell him to wait before his client signs with Cagliari.

As a result, the player’s move to Cagliari has stalled as Milan are trying to reach an agreement that would see him join the club immediately. Mari Fernandez has already played under Vincenzo Montella at Fiorentina and would already be familiar with the tactician’s system. In addition, the midfielder wouldn’t cost Milan a single euro making him an ideal target.

OFFICIAL: No Napoli for Martins Indi, Stoke City acquire the defender

The Dutch defender had been consistently linked with Napoli this summer.

While the Partenopei continue to wait for Maksimovic to arrive in Rome, the Potters have gone and snagged their fall back plan.

In a statement released from Stoke City’s official website, the club confirms they have signed the central defender.

“Stoke City have completed their third signing of transfer deadline day by securing the services of highly-rated Dutch international defender Bruno Martins Indi. The 24-year-old arrived at the Clayton Wood Training Ground on Wednesday morning to finalise his season-long loan switch from Portuguese giants FC Porto. The terms of the agreement also include an option for the Potters to make the deal permanent at the end of the 2016/17 campaign.”

Adriano Galliani and A.C. Milan have been rather quiet the last few days of the mercato, but have reportedly checked in on Zenit’s Ezequiel Garay.

The latest on the Rossoneri comes from Sky who have reported that Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has checked in on the availability of Zenit St. Petersburg central defender Ezequiel Garay.

The Milanese club would have explored bringing him to the club on a loan, however their efforts have been denied.

The Colombian has officially signed with Juventus.

Cuadrado arrives on a loan with obligation to buy deal that runs until 2019.

“Juventus FC announced to have defined the agreement with the club Chelsea FC for the acquisition, on loan until June 30th 2019 of the player Juan Guillermo Cuadrado Bello, for an upfront fee of €5 million.”

“Juventus also has the ability to acquire the player outright, or is obliged to if the player reaches a certain amount of predetermined objectives for the duration of the loan for a fee of €25 million, payable in three sections.”

The winger returns to Italy to play again for Juventus. In the past he’s played for Fiorentina, Lecce and Udinese.

Hernanes Inching Closer To Genoa Move

Juventus midfielder Hernanes appears to be on his way out from the club and will move to Genoa.

Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting that Genoa have signed Davide Brivio from Atalanta and are extremely close to acquiring Hernanes from Juventus. Genoa’s president Enrico Preziosi confirmed the move for Brivio on the official website saying:

“For the player, it’s a return to the most ancient club in Italy where he played in 2008/2009.” 

When it comes to Hernanes, however, the Brazilian’s move to Genoa is all but done. Once Cuadrado and Witsel put pen to paper on deals, the former Inter man will be free to leave the club. This transfer has been agreed to from yesterday and Juventus are only waiting for their new signings to arrive before making the announcement.

AC Milan have made a late attempt to bring in Venezuelan midfielder Thomas Rincon, which Genoa have responded to with a direct “No”.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport Rossoneri coach Galliani made a last minute swap attempt for Genoa’s Rincon, offering Andrea Poli in return. The deal was immediately shut down by Genoa who highly value the 28-year-old.

Rincon is the current captain of the Venezuelan national team, making 75 appearances for his country since 2008.

The London-based club will welcome the Serie B owned Polish midfielder.

Both clubs have confirmed Pawel Wszolek will sign with QPR this season from Hellas Verona. The English side just released a statement moments ago.

“QPR have secured the loan signing of Polish international midfielder Pawel Wszolek. The 24 year-old wide-man has agreed a season-long loan deal from Italian side Hellas Verona.

Wszolek – who has made eight appearances for his country, scoring twice – underwent a medical in Warsaw whilst on international duty earlier today, before putting pen to paper on the deal.”

Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting that Jozo Simunovic’s move to Torino is at risk following his failed medical. The medical indicated some serious issues in the player’s knee following his operation a few months back.

Despite being a pillar on the Napoli defense, a move acquiring Rodrigo Caio could mean an exit for the Senegalese defenseman

Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly has faced transfer rumours all summer. After an impressive start to the campaign those rumours seemed to have been quashed. With Nikola Maksimovic joining Napoli this signals the intent of Aurelio De Laurentiis to compete for the Scudetto. Napoli’s president hasn’t stopped there. The highly toughted Senegalese defenseman  expects maximium starting minutes. Rodrigo Caio, fresh off a gold medal with Brazil is one of the best defenseman in South America and his style of play would suit Napoli. Witsel Passes Juventus Medical: Move Imminent

Belgian international Axel Witsel will be announced as a Juventus player shortly and will put pen to paper on a long-term contract.

According to calciomercato.com, Axel Witsel underwent a medical today in Belgium ahead of his move to the bianconeri. The midfielder passed it and an official announcement is expected to be made shortly by either Juventus or Zenit. Witsel was on international duty when Juventus acquired him and the midfielder had to leave the Belgian camp to complete the move.

Juventus have been in the market for another midfielder since Paul Pogba left to Manchester United and appear to have gotten their man. They were previously interested in Paris Saint-Germain’s Blaise Matuidi but the midfielder recently signed a contract extension. Juventus and Genoa are working hard to find a solution for midfielder Hernanes.

With Juventus set to announce the signings of both Juan Cuadrado and Axel Wistel at some point today, the Bianconeri are working tirelessly to find a solution for surplus midfielder Hernanes. However, there are some obstacles in the way which could threaten any move for the Brazilian.

The latest from Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the Rossoblu wish to close the deal, but Tomas Rincon’s future needs to be determined with Crystal Palace who are trying to acquire him.

Hernanes is very low on the depth chart with the Italian champions. Given the crowdedness in the middle of the park, the former Lazio man is in dire need of a departure.

Napoli, Maksimovic to arrive in Italy later tonight

Nikola Maksimovic faces a delay in his move to Napoli for necessary reasons, but the player should arrive in Rome late tonight, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Serbian defender expected to be in Rome earlier today. However, there was a bomb alert at the airport, so Maksimovic has been stuck in Frankfurt.

With times becoming tighter for the transfer deadline, Di Marzio reports the player is trying to organize a private flight to Rome. Napoli expect Maksimovic to arrive in Rome tonight with enough time to complete the move.

Napoli’s doctor has already traveled to Villa Stuart in Rome where the medicals will take place, according to Di Marzio. He plans to return to Villa Stuart between 7:30 and 8 p.m. and meet Maksimovic when he arrives.

Both sides are working to get the deal done as soon as possible. They are working against time, but if all goes accordingly, Maksimovic should be a new player for the azzurri. The Maksimovic saga between Torino and Napoli seems to be approaching a close.

Sassuolo close the deal for Iemmello

Pietro Iemmello will be a Sassuolo player this season.

An excellent job by the Neroverdi to acquire one of the more highly sought after players in Italy. After a quick pass through Serie B, Iemmello will be in Serie A this season, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Sassuolo have offloaded Trotta and Falcinelli to Crotone and will bring in another ‘bomber’ for Di Francesco’s side. Over the last two years, Iemmello has scored 45 goals with Lega Pro side Foggia, and many believe he can bring his skill to Serie A .

His new club had previously thought about loaning him out, but will instead keep him on their roster as they fight in 3 competitions this season.

BREAKING: Brozovic’s agent says no deal with Chelsea

The two London sides has been vying for the Croatian’s services.

No transfer and a possible new deal for Marcelo Brozovic. Arsenal and Chelsea have been all but rejected by the Croatian and now it appears that he will look to extend his stay in Milan.

His agent, Miroslav Bicanic, spoke to Goal.com to clarify his future.

“It’s official, Marcelo will stay at Inter. Otherwise, he would have been on the plane to London and not with national team in Sisak. After he returns from Croatia, Marcelo will sign a new, improved contract with Inter. Even if he will have earned more with Chelsea, he really likes Inter, he knows the city well and the club will play in the Europa League. According to Giuseppe Caso, Valdifiori will be a full Torino player and will not arrive on loan. Napoli will receive €4 million ahead of Maksimovic’s move in the opposite direction for a reported €25 million.

Atalanta Sporting Director Giovanni Sartori spoke to Napoli radio station Radio Kiss Kiss regarding the future of Italian shot-stopper Marco Sportiello:

The Romans are set to give Jack Wilshere a new opportunity, this time from abroad.

Less than 8 hours remain in the transfer market, but Roma are not giving up on taking Jack Wilshere on loan this summer.

The midfielder has been heavily linked to a move abroad this summer with Roma leading the charge. They’ve turned down offers to sign Rincon from Genoa and Belhanda from Dinamo Kyiv in order to sign Wilshere.

Chelsea to land Marcos Alonso for €27 million

Chelseas Surpass Inter For Garay

Inter and Chelsea are going head to head for Zenit’s Ezequiel Garay and at the moment the English giants are ahead in the race for the defender.

According to Russian media outlet Sovsport, Chelsea have sent representatives to Russia to close a deal for Garay. Mauri, who appeared in 33 Serie A matches for Parma two seasons ago, joined the Rossoneri last summer on a free transfer. The 20-year old has only featured in ten matches for the club.

The dry-loan to the Azzurri should prove beneficial to Mauri’s development with an increased workload which could not be guaranteed by the Milanese club this season.

Maksimovic Close To Completing Napoli Switch: The Details

It appears that Napoli will make a signing in defence as they have found an agreement with Torino for Nikola Maksimovic.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Nikola Maksimovic is all but a Napoli player. Napoli have agreed to pay Torino 25 million euros for the centre-half plus one million in bonuses. Moreover, midfielder Mirko Valdifiori will be included in the deal for the Serie A defender. Once they find an agreement over the play-maker’s salary, the deal for Maksimovic will be finalized.

Valdifiori will go to Torino on a loan deal with an obligation to buy set at 3.5 million euros. In the coming hours, this fee could slightly change as both clubs are still negotiating. After a full year of following the player, Napoli have finally acquired Maksimovic.

Marcos Alonso Set For Chelsea Medical

After days of negotiations Marcos Alonso will travel to England to finalize his move to Chelsea in the coming hours.

Sky Sports have reported that Chelsea and Fiorentina have found an agreement that will see the left back join the English giants today. Chelsea have agreed to pay la Viola 27 million euros for the Spanish defender. Marcos Alonso will fly to England tonight in order to undergo a medical. Should he pass the medical, it will only be a matter of time before the former Bolton man plays for Chelsea.

With his departure, Fiorentina will need to take to the transfer window to replace the left back. In the past, Inter and Napoli were linked with Domenico Criscito but the deal fell through. Given Marcos Alonso’s departure, Criscito may just emerge as an object of desire for Fiorentina.

Juventus are working hard to secure Chelsea’s Juan Cuadrado on loan for the rest of the season.

Cuadrado was previously at Juventus last season and had a sensational season for the bianconeri. Now that his loan deal has expired, the Italian champions are looking to once again bring him back to the club. According to mercato guru Gianluca Di Marzio, a deal to bring Cuadrado back to Juventus is close. Allegri’s side are reportedly optimistic about this deal going through and will look to bring the Colombian to Juventus tonight.

Both parties are trying to find an agreement that suits them and it seems they have found it: The winger will join Juventus on a loan deal with an obligation to buy should he play a certain amount of games. Cuadrado is keen on joining Juventus and is pushing for a move away from England.

OFFICIAL: Gabigol Signs With Inter

After a long, drawn-out transfer saga, Gabigol has put pen to paper on a long-term deal with Serie A giants Inter.

Today, the Nerazzurri released an official statement on their club’s website detailing the contract the Brazilian forward signed. The statement is as follows:

“Gabriel Barbosa Almeida has become an Inter player on his twentieth birthday. The Brazilian forward has signed a contract until 2021 with the nerazzurri and comes to Milan after four years at Santos where he won two Paulista titles in 2015 and 2016. Gabigol has represented Brazil at the U-15, U-17, U-20, and U-23 level before making the step up to the senior side where he has four appearances and two goals. He also won the Olympic gold medal most recently which was a historic accomplishment for his nation. Mati Fernandez made available to Milan by Fiorentina

Fiorentina’s Mati Fernandez has reportedly been made available by the club, who look set to terminate his contract.

Mati Fernandez was a name that surfaced in Milan transfer rumors once Vincenzo Montella was appointed the role of Rossoneri coach, but have since cooled. Yet, with the summer transfer window set to close shop tomorrow in Italy, the 30-year old is now being linked to several clubs in Serie A including the Milanese giants.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Viola have decided to terminate the contract of Mati Fernandez. The Chilean’s agent has been in talks with Milan, Cagliari and Atalanta in order to find him a new home.

Fernandez arrived to Florence back in the summer of 2012 and it appears he will extend his stay in Italy if reports are true.

Marco Verratti claims his Pallone Azzurro 2015 trophy.

Marco Verratti beat out four other nominees to win his first Pallone Azzurro award.

The 23-year-old midfielder has claimed the Pallone Azzurro award for the year, claiming the prize from 2014 winner Matteo Darmian.

Verratti was selected as one of the top five finalists along with Gianluigi Buffon, Antonio Candreva, Graziano Pelle, and Alessandro Florenzi.

The five finalists were selected by RAI Sports, and the winner was voted on by fans on the website vivoazzurro.it.

Voting for the 2016 winner will begin in December.

Napoli are very close to landing Serbia and Torino central defender Nikola Maksimovic.

For weeks, Napoli have been courting Torino’s in-demand defender Nikola Maksimovic but could not get over the obstacles that stood in the way. Ventura: “Verratti is unhappy at PSG.”

The new Azzurri coach claims that the midfielder is unhappy over being forced to play out of his preferred position.

According to Ventura, Marco Verratti prefers playing as a deep playmaker, but is currently being played in the more advanced number 10 role.

Ventura spoke to reporters stating, “In Paris, Verratti is playing right behind the strikers, which is not the right position for him. He is a playmaker,”

The new coach went on to say that the 23-year-old is unhappy with the club because of the change.

Verratti began the season on the bench for the team’s first two matches, making his first start of the season in a 3-1 loss against Monaco.

Verratti has been linked to Juventus and Manchester United, however a move during this transfer window is not expected.

Jose Mauri to join Empoli on loan.

According to Sky Sports, Empoli have closed a deal with Milan for the 20-year-old midfielder.

The deal made between the two parties for Mauri reportedly is for a season long loan that does not include an option to buy.

Mauri has made five appearances for Milan since joining the club in 2015.

Mauri is eligible to play for both Argentina and Italy and has featured for Italy’s youth teams, however he has denied call-ups recently as he has declared his interest in playing for Argentina.

Manchester United to sell Darmian to Inter?

The Nerazzurri are keen on adding another Italian to their ranks.

Nagatomo, Santon, D’Ambrosio and Ansaldi aren’t enough according to Frank De Boer. The Dutch tactician wants at least one more fullback before the transfer window slams shut.

According to PremiumSport, Inter want to offload and make a profit on Marcelo Brozovic in these last few hours of the window, but at the same time they want to acquire Matteo Darmian from Manchester United.

The Italian is a unique player because he can play on either side of the field in a defensive or attacking role. This would give Inter more tactical flexibility as well as adding international pedigree to their backline.

Darmian arrived from Torino last season but failed to firmly lock down a starting spot. Jose Mourinho looks to have deemed him surplus to requirements and relegated him to a bit-part role.

Gabbiadini gives the OK for a move to Everton

The Italian has reportedly given the all clear for a move to the Toffees.

Perhaps the lack of space has given Gabbiadini a lot to think about at Napoli. The Italy international has said ‘yes’ to a potential move to England in light of recent developments.

Everton has offered around €3.5 million on a multi-year deal, the problem now is coming to terms with Napoli who are requesting at least €25 million for the base fee and a bonus package to push the deal closer to €30 million.

Also, according to Premium Sport journalist Claudio Raimondi, Napoli need to sign Pavoletti first before they will let Gabbiadini go. At this stage in the market, nobody wants to be left a man down on the roster.

‘Arek’ Milik has become the heir apparent to Gonzalo Higuain’s spot. He scored two goals in his full debut against Milan on Saturday. Meaning Napoli would be more willing to agree to a sale for the aforementioned fee.

Gazzetta Dello Sport are reporting that Chelsea are finally open to the idea of selling Cuadrado to Juventus for the first time in negiations.

This is an important step as Juventus have been pushing for a loan deal, with the option to make the move permanent at seasons end.

No defined details have emerged from the discussions for Juan Cuadrado, as both clubs are trying to agree on the final details of the deal including the financial side.

Conversely the player has informed Chelsea of his desire to return to Italy, where he has had the best years of his career.

This is despite Antonio Conte adamantly looking to retain the Cuadrado for the current English Premier League season.

Chelsea continue to chase defensive targets in Italy, and hope to secure a suitable reinforcement for Conte before the end of transfer deadline

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport Chelsea are continuing to push for Fiorentina defender Marcos Alonso. The English Premier League side have raised their offer to 22 million euros to try and entire Fiorentina to sell the Spaniard.

The Viola however are requesting 25 million, but Marcos Alonso has already approved of and agreed to the transfer.

Chelsea are ready to offer Marcos Alonso a five year contract and give the defender a significant pay rise to 3 million euros per year.

Official: Palermo sign attacking duo

Palermo have officially announced the signings of Bruno Henrique and Alessandro Diamanti this morning.

The Rosanero signed Henrique from Brazilian side, Corinthians on a 4 year deal at a fee of €3.3 million that will go to Coimbra through a third party who owns his registration rights.

Henrique is a  26 year-old Striker who came up in the Cruzeiro youth system and eventually went on to sign with Wolfsburg this past winter window.

Palermo also announced the signing of Alessandro Diamanti on a free transfer for 2 years and an option for a third.
