According to Sky Sports, Empoli have closed a deal with Milan for the 20-year-old midfielder.
The deal made between the two parties for Mauri reportedly is for a season long loan that does not include an option to buy.
Mauri has made five appearances for Milan since joining the club in 2015.
Mauri is eligible to play for both Argentina and Italy and has featured for Italy’s youth teams, however he has denied call-ups recently as he has declared his interest in playing for Argentina.
