After a long, drawn-out transfer saga, Gabigol has put pen to paper on a long-term deal with Serie A giants Inter.
Today, the Nerazzurri released an official statement on their club’s website detailing the contract the Brazilian forward signed. The statement is as follows:
“Gabriel Barbosa Almeida has become an Inter player on his twentieth birthday. The Brazilian forward has signed a contract until 2021 with the nerazzurri and comes to Milan after four years at Santos where he won two Paulista titles in 2015 and 2016. Gabigol has represented Brazil at the U-15, U-17, U-20, and U-23 level before making the step up to the senior side where he has four appearances and two goals. He also won the Olympic gold medal most recently which was a historic accomplishment for his nation. The club and the fans will give him a warm welcome, wishing him a happy birthday and an extraordinary career with Inter.”
