The Viola midfielder Mati Fernandez is likely to remain playing football in Italy, with Cagliari set to acquire the Chilean.
Yesterday, it was reported that Fiorentina were set to terminate the contract of midfielder Mati Fernandez, with Milan and Cagliari among the suitors. However, despite the connection between new Rossoneri coach Vincenzo Montella and the 30-year old, it’s unlikely we see them reunite this summer.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Chilean is “a step away” from joining Cagliari, with Fiorentina having given the approval for him to leave. Official announcement should arrive soon.
