Former Juventus striker Alessandro Del Piero spoke to ESPN ahead of the UEFA Champions League finale that sees his ‘Old Lady’ match up against the Spanish champions, Barcelona.
“I believe that Juventus and Barcelona come into the finale with the same chances of winning. The Blaugrana have strong individuals, and they are very dangerous but Juventus beat the defending champions, proving to be a compact and solid team.”
“Whether I’ll keep playing or not? I don’t know, I’ve finished in India and now I continue to train to stay in form. There are places in the world in which I can go to, but I need to take into consideration my family. I could find a solution in two months.”
“Problems in Italian football? You’re talking about a cultural movement, a part of the solution will be given by the clubs work, the federation and fans. It’s not easy for Italy and not just at the footballing levels.”
