Galliani to Madrid to persuade Ancelotti

Reports are emerging that Milan CEO Adriano Galliani could fly to Madrid on Monday to convince former Milan boss and soon to be former Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti to become Milan manager once again.

With Inzaghi look set to be leaving Milan at the end of the season after a disastrous campaign in charge of the Rossoneri Milan are on the search for a new manager. In recent day’s reports have suggested that Ancelotti is close to a return to managing Milan but is unsure on the clubs plans. Many different sources are saying that Milan are willing to offer Ancelotti a 5-year deal and a huge transfer kitty of £150m to help him rebuild the team into the side he once led to European glory. Ancelotti is unsure of Milan’s project and Galliani is set to fly over to Madrid in a bid to convince Carletto to return to Milan and explain to him exactly what the project is.

In a recent interview, Berlusconi said to Napoli TV “If Real Madrid let him go, then he will return to us.”

With the relationship Berlusconi and Ancelotti have it is almost certain he will return once his departure from the Champions League holders is confirmed which could be as early as tonight. Galliani will be hoping on Monday when he makes the trip to Spain that he can put a smile back on Milan fans faces and return home with some good news after what has been a season full of sadness.
