Over the last few weeks Napoli have been monitoring a host of goalkeepers. The latest name to be linked with the partenopei is Bayern Munich’s Pepe Reina.
Since the beginning of the season, Napoli have struggled with their goalkeeping situation. Both Rafael Cabral and Mariano Andujar have had their chances in the first team but have both failed to establish themselves as the side’s keeper. Empoli keeper Luigi Sepe, who is on loan from Napoli, has been consistently putting in top performances for Maurizio Sarri’s side but is still considered too inexperienced for the starting position for Benitez’ side. With that being said, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has not hidden the fact that he is keen on bringing back Sepe to the club. The partenopei will in all likelihood bring in a veteran keeper in order to show the Empoli keeper the ropes.
According to Gazzetta Tv, Pepe Reina has said yes to a move that would see him return to Napoli. The goalkeeper has played second fiddle to Manuel Neuer this season and is currently seeking a move away. Napoli have reportedly beaten Inter to the services of the player and he will sign with the club in the upcoming transfer window.
