On the pitch Parma’s misery is finished for the year, off it however it is set to drag long into the summer months. The plight that surrounds the Gialloblu is nothing new, but there is increasing fears that the Crociati may be forced to restart next season down in Serie D.
Goal.com is reporting the words of AIC President Damiano Tommasi, words that are sure to bring little comfort to all Parma supporters around the globe. This is what Tommasi had to say,
“I have no good news: the sporting debt is very high and for to many months there was no talk on who created this situation.”
Tommasi further went on to absolve any of the players of blame about what has engulfed the club, pointing the finger solely at those off it. Finally the former Italian international spoke of his hope that the club would ultimately find a buyer,
“We have lowered the sporting debt as much as possible, which was very important. Now we have to wait for investors, some of whom have shown interest in the club. We hope to get a concrete offer. Parma is the consequence of very bad management.”
Despite Tommasi’s hopes that the club will be bought, the future continues to look bleak as four auctions to sell the club have yet to unearth a single bidder.
