Diego Lopez: “Ancelotti? He’s Among The Top Three Managers In The World.”

Milan keeper Diego Lopez spoke to the media about the possibility of seeing Carlo Ancelotti or Antonio Conte manage the rossoneri and also touched upon the past season.

In his interview with TuttoMercatoWeb, the former Real Madrid man told reporters,:

“Since it will be the last time that we will play in front of our fans this season, we will have to put in a top performance in order to claim a victory. To honor and respect them we must win. Over the last season, I have gotten along nicely with my teammates and the manager. I expect to do better next season as my personal objective is to help Milan return to the upper reaches of football. This season a lot of things have gone wrong on the pitch and everyone could have done more on the pitch.”

On his relationship with his new goalkeeping coach Valerio Fiori, Diego Lopez said,:

“Being able to train with him every day has been great. I have vastly improved under his guidance and due to this I believe I can give more next season.”

On the possible return of former Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti, the Spanish keeper said,:

“Carlo is among the top three managers in the world. I’m saying this despite the fact that I do not like to talk about it as we would like to close off the current season on a good note with Inzaghi.”

Diego Lopez concluded the interview by talking about Azzurri boss Antonio Conte, who has also been linked to the hot-seat in Milan. The veteran keeper told reporters,:

“I don’t want to talk about the future manager as it is something that the club takes care of. Obviously, Conte is a great manager who has done great things in the past with Juventus.”
