No bids at Final Parma auction

With each passing hour Parma stare further and further into the abyss as the club struggles to survive another set back.

The fifth and final auction for the purchase of the Gialloblu was held earlier this morning, with the asking price set at just under €6 million. However no bid was forthcoming leaving the club in a very precarious position.

The club released a statement on its official website revealing that no offers had been made for the Crociati,

“The Bankruptcy administrators of Parma Fc, Dr Angelo Anedda and Dr Alberto Guiotto, communicate that at 12.00 today May 28, 2015 no binding offer for the purchase of the club has been delivered to the notary Julius Almansi, appointed by Judge Dr. Pietro Rogato to oversee the operations of sale of the company’s competitive sports Parma FC.”

“Over the next few hours administrators will discuss with the Committee of Creditors and the Bankruptcy Judge for the necessary decisions on the future of sport and the possible continuation of the provisional budget.”

What next for the beleaguered club remains very much in doubt, there still remains the possibility that the club may be sold privately or that another auction may managed to be held in June. All this being said Parma’s future is hanging by a thread
