Carpi host Inter in their first home game of the season tomorrow with both sides looking to improve on last weekend’s performances and get a positive result to back it up.
Inter got off to a winning start in their first game of the season against Atalanta, new signing Stefan Jovetic scoring a last gasp winner as the Nerazzurri won 1-0.
Carpi were thrashed 5-2 in their first ever top flight game in Serie A by Sampdoria, and will be looking to do better at in their first home game of the season.

Rodrigo Palacio
The Argentine is expected to replace Mauro Icardi in the starting line-up against Carpi and will be eager to impress Mancini. He has scored 47 goals for Inter since joining the club back in 2012, and with Jovetic alongside him the strike partnership will need to click from the first minute.
Luca Marrone
The Italian midfielder struggled last weekend against Sampdoria and will need to improve his performance against a strong Inter midfield. With Carpi expected to sit back and defend Marrone’s passing going forward will have to be on point on the counter-attack if the Biancorossi are to get a result.
