Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini spoke to the media following his side’s disappointing defeat against Udinese at home.
In his post-match interview Giorgio Chiellini spoke about the upheaval at the squad and stated that he believed it was a necessary step. The veteran defender told Tuttomercatoweb,:
“We could have and probably should have scored a goal. Instead, we conceded a goal on our first mistake. It’s difficult to talk about a game like this. We must keep working and remain patient and we must build off the solidity that we displayed for the first seventy minutes of the game. In that part of the game, they couldn’t even get out of their own half. We are currently going through a necessary rebuild. We must be patient but this doesn’t mean that we do not intend on winning
. When we have the full team at 100%, it will be a different story.”
Juventus will now travel to the Stadio Olimpico where they will take on Rudi Garcia’s Roma in match-day two.
