With the second week of the 2015/2016 Serie A campaign upon us, Torino prepare to take on a rather impressive Fiorentina side.
Both teams have started the new Serie A season with a victory. Torino, who recently took all 3 points after going up against newly promoted Frosinone in a 2-1 victory, will have their work cut out for them as they must now face the task of challenging a solid Fiorentina side who’s had a great pre-season, followed up with a 2-0 win over Sinisa Mihajlovic’s Milan.
TORINO
After a rather interesting preseason, along with defeating former Serie B side Frosinone, Torino will be keen on scraping away as many points as possible against what appears to be an in form Fiorentina under newly appointed coach Paolo Sousa. Giampiero Ventura’s men will be raring to go, along with new signings like Zappacosta, Belotti, and Baselli, who will be persistent in their attempts to bring Torino further up the table.
FIORENTINA
Coming off the back of a 2-0 win over Milan, La Viola will prepare themselves as best they can to continue to impress. Despite losing a number of key players alongside former coach Vincenzo Montella, Fiorentina haven’t slowed down one bit and most likely fair their chances against a competitive Torino side.
Player to watch – Frederico Bernardeschi
The 21 year old has proven to be very impressive in Fiorentina’s preseason and will be keen on keeping the trend going after being given the number 10, which may add pressure to the player but is most certainly an honor to have the privilege of wearing such a prestigious number at such a young age. Bernardeschi has featured for Italy’s U-21 side on numerous occasions, and if his level of performance continues to grow, he could even face the possibility of playing for Antonio Conte on Italy’s senior team in preparation for Euro 2016.
