Roma’s Ivorian attacker Gervinho is being courted by Abu Dhabi side Al-Jazira, according to Gianluca Di Marzio
Roma have not been able to replicate the same success this season as they did last year with the chase for the Scudetto long gone and the potential of slipping away from a Champions League birth for next season as well. With a few newly acquired players providing little in return, Roma could look to offload players to retool for next season. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Abu Dhabi club Al-Jazira are preparing an offer around €14m for the Ivory Coast winger Gervinho.
Al-Jazira look keen on bringing in more Serie A talent after former Juventus man Mirko Vucinic, who arrived last summer, provided a large return for the UAE Arabian Gulf League outfit this season, tallying 25 goals in twenty-three league appearances.
Gervinho arrived to the giallorossi back in the summer of 2013 for a fee of €10m from Arsenal. His first season with the club was a strong one, however this season has been disappointing as the 27-year old has only scored 2 goals in twenty-four league matches.
