Rafa Benitez needs a miracle to get Napoli into the Champions League, but his time is all but up in Italy
The Spaniard has faced heavy criticism this season following countless disappointing results and Aurelio De Laurentiis is about to pull the plug on the project.
Benitez’s future is looking further away from Italy, the Spanish tactician is ready for a change of scenery and project. Destination? According to Gianluca Di Marzio, West Ham had reached out with an offer, but this morning the situation changed repeatedly. Despite personally knowing the President of the Hammers, it’s unlikely he will go there with Real Madrid’s concrete interest in him.
Already, talks are advancing between the Spanish club and the Spanish coach. The Los Blancos President Florentino Perez is giving Benitez serious consideration for the Post-Ancelotti Real Madrid.
Benitez has also caught the attention of Liverpool and Manchester City, both who have indirectly surveyed the situation. But for now Real Madrid is already well into talks. Rafa’s profile is very well liked by the white side of Madrid.
The simple goal for Benitez would be the “Undicesima” or 11th Champions League title.
