Italy’s U-21 head coach Di Biagio has drawn up a list of 26 players he’s called up ahead of the clash with Hungary at the Telki Sport Center.
An astonishing 17 of the 26 call ups have received their first call from the U-21 Azzurrini, a sign that Di Biagio is ready to usher in a new generation of Italian footballers.
Here’s the list:
Goalkeepers: Cragno (Cagliari), Provedel (Modena), Scuffet (Udinese);
Defenders: Barreca (Cagliari), Calabresi (Livorno), Conti (Atalanta), Fontanesi (Sassuolo), Murru (Cagliari), Romagnoli (Roma), Somma (Brescia), Venuti (Brescia), Vicari (Novara);
Midfielders: Benassi (Torino), Fazzi (Fiorentina), Gagliardini (Vicenza), Grassi (Atalanta), Mandragora (Pescara), Verre (Udinese);
Attackers: Aramu (Torino), Bernardeschi (Fiorentina), Boateng (Bari), Cerri (Juventus), Garritano (Cesena), Parigini (Perugia), Rosseti (Cesena), Verde (Frosinone).
