Juventus released an official club statement regarding the success of their appeal for their Curva Sud being closed for the home opener against Udinese.
The cause of the closure was alleged inappropriate chanting and banners in the most recent Derby della Mole against Torino.
“Franco Frattini, the President of the Board of Arbitration for Sport, has today suspended the decision of the FIGC’s Court of Appeal against which Juventus appealed on 5 August which stipulated the obligation to play a match with the South Stand closed, in addition to a €30,000 fine following events during the most recent Turin derby.
“According to an announcement on the Italian National Olympic Committee’s website the suspension of the case will be reviewed and a decision will be taken on 3 September at 10.30 CEST.
“The South Stand will therefore be open to supporters for the first game of the 2015/16 season, Juventus vs. Udinese, on Sunday 23 August at 18.00.”
