Genoa boss Gian Piero Gasperini spoke following his side’s victory and expressed his satisfaction at the result and the season.
In his post-match interview Sky, Gasperini told reporters,:
“Thanks to this team I am the happiest I’ve been over the course of my whole career. Today, it wasn’t easy to win this game because we also conceded first. For me, coming back from being down and getting a result like this is huge.”
When asked about his thoughts on Genoa potentially missing out on Europa due to a lack of a UEFA license, the former Inter boss said,:
“It would be a difficult situation but the only things that matter are the results on the pitch. There would be no graver injustice in the world than to keep this team out of Europe due to something of this nature. The club is trying its best to fix this issue and there are two paths can undertake. There are no teams that are more deserving than this to go into Europe.”
