Donnarumma: “I have no problem with staying at Milan my whole career”

The 17 year old hopes to sign a contract renewal and build a long relationship with the club.

In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Gianluigi Donnarumma was quoted saying:

“I’d like very much to renew my contract, and I’d be pleased with an enduring relationship with Milan over the years. I am the type of player that could easily spend my entire career with the same club.”

The Italian youth international also went on to say “I have always been a fan of the rossoneri and I dream of one day having the captain’s armband.”

The 17-year-old made his debut for the squad last October in a 2-1 win over Sassuolo.  Donnarumma has only played for A.C. Milan and has already made 30 appearances for the senior team before reaching his 18th birthday. So far he is yet to make an appearance for the Italian senior team.
