On himself and his career and Roma.
“I am very happy to be a giallorossi player. For me it is a major challenge when I began in January. I am very satisfied and enthusiastic here. We are training well and I am happy to have found companions here. It’s taken a little time for me to find my best form and I never imagined I’d come to Roma. After Monaco came this proposal and I was impressed, I couldn’t refuse it, and I made an effort for the team, giving my contribution. I feel I can still give something extra to the team and for myself.
On Juventus.
“Do I think Juve are Champions League ready? I think that Juve is, in this time, a step above all the other teams in the league, using the market to get world-class players. We must try to win every game, knowing that we have Juventus up front and we need to stay at their pace.
On Paredes.
“Paredes has impressed me a lot these days with his quality and touch of the ball.”
The 23 year old Italian international joined Roma on loan last season from Milan. On June 21st 2016, the giallorossi triggered the buy-out clause on the loan deal for €13 million making El Shaarawy a permanent member of the team.
