The former Milan bench boss discusses his squad’s form and training experience as they concluded another friendly match-up.
Following their pre-season friendly against Serie D side S.S.D. Jesina, Venezia manager Filippo Inzaghi spoke to the media post-game about the current physical condition of his squad, as per TuttoLegaPro:
It is incredible to think, despite having three center-forwards on the roster, we can be without all three, Geijo, Virdis and Ferrari, simultaneously, but it is better that it happens now rather than when the games really count. We had a tough week, we worked a lot on the athletic profile and it is clear that fatigue is being felt.
Against Jesina, I put Basso and Tortori in the false nine role but I certainly did not put them in the best conditions to make the most of it. We will continue to work. At this moment, results mean little to me.
